The fruitful collaboration between Swedish sportswear brand Craft and endurance athlete Tommy Rivs has resulted in yet another groundbreaking running shoe – the CTM Ultra Carbon Race Rebel. Weighing a mere 200 grams, the superlight road racer is designed for record-breaking marathon performances at the highest level of running.
“The Race Rebel has been many years in the making and it’s a great feeling to finally introduce this rebellious shoe to the world, especially considering the tough battle that Tommy has been fighting during the last years and which is still ongoing. This is the fastest shoe we have ever built, and I know that Tommy is proud of this one, just like everyone at Craft,” says Craft’s Product & Marketing Director Daniel Högling.
200 grams of road power
CTM Ultra Carbon Race Rebel is an evolution of Craft’s successful multi-surface shoe CTM Ultra Carbon and comes with the hyper-lightweight UD Foam Pro™ midsole foam. The shoe also features the highly innovative Ultra Carbon Plate™, which is made of carefully sourced carbon fiber and works almost like a trampoline, offering best-in-class energy return. In addition, the shoe’s 3-piece rubber outsole is made of an ultra-lightweight rubber compound and features a fine, contoured lug pattern that gives traction on smooth surfaces. The result is an aggressive and exceptionally fast road racer that weighs a feathery 200 grams.
CTM Ultra Race Rebel is the perfect choice for high-speed marathons and will be used by the runners on the Craft Elite Run Team.
A pre-drop limited edition will be launched in Europe on August 16 and in North America and Asia in mid-September.
